Melocheville Tunnel Sidewalk
Located near the Beauharnois generating station, the Melocheville Tunnel passes directly under the St. Lawrence Seaway to maintain a constant flow of vehicles—and pedestrians! In fact, the tunnel has a dedicated sidewalk that lets you safely walk the 1.4 km under the river.
* The sidewalk will be closed from June to October 2026 due to construction work. Effective July 1, the shuttle service will operate from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. only (the 24-hour service will be discontinued). Please call 438‑341‑9632.
