The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is carrying out a consultation regarding the implementation of its Accessibility Plan published on December 23, 2022 on its website according to the Accessible Canada Act, a law passed in 2019 to make Canada barrier-free by January 1, 2040.
As a federal Crown corporation, JCCBI is carrying out a consultation of persons with disabilities or functional limitations*, or who are caregivers of people with a disability or a functional limitation *, as part of the implementation of its Accessibility Plan. Organizations must collect feedback about their Accessibility Plan and the barriers that people who deal with the organization face.
A barrier is anything that prevents persons with disabilities or functional limitations from fully and equally participating in Canadian society. Some barriers are very visible, like a building without an access ramp, other barriers are less visible, like instructions written in complicated language.
We thank you in advance for filling out this short survey which aims at obtaining feedback from persons with disabilities or functional limitations or who are caregivers, and take stock of the implementation of the Accessibility Plan which will in turn help JCCBI prepare and publish its 2023 Annual report on accessibility.
Thank you!
*In accordance with the Accessible Canada Act.
