Inaugural Show

For Canada’s 150th anniversary and Montreal’s 375th anniversary in 2017, JCCBI invites the public to come see the very first illumination show on the Jacques Cartier Bridge. Overall, 400,000 spectators come to admire the bridge in its full colourful glory!

Montrealers were also treated to a replay of the inaugural light show on June 25.

Announcement of the Jacques Cartier Bridge Illumination Project

To celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary and Montreal’s 375th anniversary in 2017, the Government of Canada announces a large-scale interactive light project for the Jacques Cartier Bridge. This major project will become a cultural legacy that enhances the city’s urban heritage.
